The chance to transport to the historical sites of American History (and beyond) will allow students to feel like they are a part of history. Students will have the ability to time travel or transport themselves to other lands. Using the images, that can be seen through virtual reality, will allow students to be more engaged in the process of learning about vital moments that shaped our nation. Imagine, a kid in Northern California having the opportunity to visit Gettysburg while learning about the Civil War and Lincoln’s most famous address. They will be at the White House instead of looking at pictures in their text books. This project will help support student learning and allow students of all backgrounds have the opportunity to visit amazing places from inside the classroom walls.
