Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in our daily learning environment.\r\n\r\nWe use these snacks during our longest instructional blocks, especially reading and math, when students need sustained focus and energy. Having easy access to healthy snacks allows students to stay engaged, regulate their emotions, and concentrate on learning rather than worrying about hunger. One moment that really stood out was during a small-group reading lesson—students were able to remain focused, participate actively, and persevere through challenging texts because their basic needs were met.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snacks, their reactions were full of excitement and gratitude. Several students immediately said \"thank you,\" and others shared that they sometimes come to school hungry. They felt cared for and supported, which helped create a positive and inclusive classroom community.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our next steps include continuing to build strong literacy skills through small-group reading instruction, phonics practice, and collaborative math problem-solving. With their needs met, students are more confident, ready to learn, and eager to participate each day.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has truly helped remove a barrier to learning, and my students and I are incredibly thankful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1766155877597,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-to-support-our-second-grade-stars/9941912/","projectTitle":"Snacks to Support Our Second Grade Stars","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Marzouk","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10033106_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747781937939","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10033106"},{"teacherId":152544,"projectId":9817482,"letterContent":"As we enter the second half of our school year, it is time for projects, Science Fair, History Fair, and all of the project-based learning experiences. In the past, students have not completed projects because they or their families were not able to provide support for the graphics, paper for reports, photos, and other items to help with their presentations.
