I'm especially grateful to everyone from MMOSS and LOFT for your incredible generosity and belief in our music program. You've helped give our students the tools they need to express themselves and grow as young musicians.\r\n\r\nWhen the students saw the new materials, they were so excited to finally play their restored vibraphone! I always remind them how important it is to use the proper tools for each instrument, so when they saw the new mallets, their faces lit up. They loved how beautiful the vibraphone sounded, and they couldn't stop smiling as they played. They even wanted to keep playing the vibraphone over the drums (that's a first!).\r\n\r\nIt truly warmed my heart to see their joy and curiosity come to life through music. Your generosity didn't just make their day; it created opportunities that will inspire them for years to come. Our next step is to explore more percussion techniques and begin preparing simple ensemble pieces where the vibraphone will shine. But first we will continue through our method book and continuing to learn all there is about mallet instruments and our Bb Major Scale.\r\n\r\nThank you for bringing so much joy (and so much music) into our classroom. Because of you, our students are learning, creating, and discovering their voices through music.","fullyFundedDate":1752673996008,"projectUrl":"project/vibing-with-our-new-vibraphone/9408056/","projectTitle":"Vibing With Our New Vibraphone","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jobes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9269649_orig.png?crop=1168,1168,x61,y20&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694978696029","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9269649"},{"teacherId":9269649,"projectId":9198915,"letterContent":"When I shared with my students that we received donations of rosin and two new bows, they were ecstatic! They eagerly gathered around as I opened the new rosin, loving the \"pretty yellow rosin\" and immediately noticing how smooth and easy it was to use compared to our old, cracked, and chipped supply.\r\n\r\nThey were just as excited about the new bows and thrilled that they no longer had to fight over who would get the thin bow. These seemingly small upgrades have made a big difference in their playing experience. Their enthusiasm reminded me how much these resources fuel both their joy and their love of learning their instruments.\r\n\r\nWith lessons beginning this week, our students are off to a bright start thanks to your generous support. Thank you for investing not only in their music education, but in their full educational journey.","fullyFundedDate":1746785640920,"projectUrl":"project/string-supplies-for-an-elementary-orches/9198915/","projectTitle":"String Supplies for an Elementary Orchestra","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jobes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9269649_orig.png?crop=1168,1168,x61,y20&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694978696029","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9269649"},{"teacherId":9269649,"projectId":9121792,"letterContent":"Our cello players are very thankful for your generous gifts of the endpin rests! Once I showed them the endpin rests, they were all very excited (and I was very excited that they didn't have to fight over the one rest that I did have)! They learned how to use them, and their playing confidence has increased. They love the fact they no longer must hold the cello in place. I was so excited that they just arrived in time for our concert. All your generosity has made a noticeable impact on their playing abilities, and they enjoy playing just a little more now. \r\n\r\n As our school year is coming to an end soon our 1st year cellos are learning how to read music in 2/4 time, 4th finger pizzicato, and 1st and 2nd endings. Our 2nd year cellos are learning whole notes, C natural, their C string notes and their C major scale. They're not thrilled about the C naturals, but I always tell them it's good for them just like Brussel sprouts! They weren't amused but I was! \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for making learning an instrument easier for our students.
