We've been using the new math and STEAM materials during both small group and whole group activities, and the students have truly loved them. They especially enjoy using the Numberblocks figures to count, sort, estimate, and practice number recognition in a hands-on way. The activities keep them engaged and excited to learn because they feel more like play while still building important skills.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they immediately wanted to explore everything. They were especially excited because many of the activities connected to things they already knew or could relate to, which made them feel confident jumping right in. It has been so nice seeing students work together, talk through their thinking, and stay focused for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nWe are continuing to use these materials in our STEAM centers and math lessons as students practice problem-solving, counting, building, and collaborating with one another.
