His books are PERFECT for ten year olds! They are full of wit and humor, cliffhangers at every chapter, and the hero is always a deserving child. Roald Dahl creates awful \"baddies\" that makes you root for the protagonist even more. \r\n\r\nIn class, we used these books to teach the 5th grade ELA standards such as story elements and figurative language, but the bigger picture is that your books kept my students engaged and excited about reading which is the ultimate goal. \r\n\r\nPlease know how grateful I am that you helped to create a positive classroom atmosphere as well as lifelong readers!
