The reference materials that we received were a big hit. With the new encyclopedias we received, my students were able to complete their black history research projects with ease. In preparation for the new encyclopedias, my students learned how encyclopedias are used and what they are used for. We also included other reference materials. Having the encyclopedias in their hands enabled the students to practice what they have learned. As the school librarian, I want my students to be well-rounded and not just zoned in on one type of book.
