They were overjoyed and were shouting out titles they recognized and asking if they could be the first to check out the new books. It truly touched my heart to see and hear their joy and watch as your donations help foster a love of reading in my students. There was a series donated that one particular class of mine was especially excited about. They are reading the first book with their classroom teacher but when they saw we now have the rest of the series, they were thrilled!\r\n\r\nI always tell my students that I want them to challenge themselves when they read. They can pick easy, comfy reads, of course, but I also want them to be picking books that are challenging their thinking and pushing them outside of their comfort zone. The new books that you donated are doing that. They are reading content from other cultures that are not their own and learning about acceptance and awareness. They are reading books that help them learn new words and new concepts with your donations.\r\n\r\nI am so very grateful and moved that strangers would donate their money to support and foster a love of reading in students you don't even know! It's been such a special teaching moment to tell my students where the books came from and how incredible it is to support people you don't know and how it brings us all together! These books will touch my student's lives, and mine, for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1760473703313,"projectUrl":"project/all-the-cool-kids-are-reading/9401929/","projectTitle":"All the Cool Kids Are Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9632575"},{"teacherId":9224437,"projectId":8574357,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for your generous contribution to my \"Learning is COOl\" project through Donors Choose. Your contribution has already made a significant impact on the intervention students I work directly with by creating engaging learning experiences and fostering essential skills. Thanks to your generosity, I have been able to implement math and literacy intervention in a space that isn't a sauna. The Portable Air Conditioner has made a huge impact on my kiddos, they can actually learn instead of complaining about the heat. \r\n\r\nYour belief in the importance of creating a supportive learning environment has not only benefited our current students but will continue to positively influence the lives of many more in the years to come.
