The TPT gift cards have allowed me to bring engaging, high-quality digital lessons into our classroom. Instead of simply reading information from a textbook, students can participate in interactive activities, visual presentations, games, and creative assignments that make challenging concepts easier to understand.\r\n\r\nMy students are especially excited when they see lessons that feel more like an experience than another worksheet. The novel studies have helped make The Odyssey and Fahrenheit 451 less intimidating by breaking the texts into manageable sections and providing activities that connect the stories to students' lives. The SEL books have also given us meaningful ways to discuss emotions, coping skills, relationships, and the challenges teenagers face.\r\n\r\nThese resources have been particularly valuable for students who struggle with reading, confidence, or staying engaged in a traditional lesson. Having visual supports, guided questions, and interactive options gives them more ways to participate and experience success. Because of your generosity, I can better meet students where they are while still challenging them to grow. The iPad has quickly become my trusty teaching sidekick. I use it to prepare and present lessons, show examples, and pull up resources that make learning more visual and engaging. My students benefit from it every day. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards have also helped me bring in fresh, creative activities while saving me from reinventing the wheel after school.\r\n\r\nThe coping-skills books have been another wonderful addition. Being a teenager is not easy, and these books give students practical, relatable ways to manage stress and work through big emotions. Some students who are usually hesitant to talk about feelings have quietly warmed up. These books sit in our calm corner in our high school classroom. Sometimes the best sign that a resource is working is when a student pauses, reads something again, and says, \"Wait...that actually makes sense.\"\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped me create lessons that are more engaging and a classroom that feels more supportive. As a blended microsite serving students with diverse academic needs, access to the right tools makes an incredible difference. Because of your generosity, we now have a new whiteboard, a class set of mini dry erase boards with markers and erasers, and a full classroom set of calculators. These resources immediately strengthen both our direct instruction time and our small-group intervention work.\r\n\r\nIn our math classroom, students learn best when they can see the thinking and practice it themselves. The new whiteboard allows me to clearly model multi-step problem solving, vocabulary, and strategies in a way that supports visual learners and students who need concepts broken down step by step. The individual dry erase boards have transformed engagement — every student participates, every student shows their work, and I can instantly assess understanding and correct misconceptions in real time. This is especially powerful in our microsite setting where targeted feedback and immediate intervention are key.\r\n\r\nThe classroom set of calculators removes barriers and builds confidence. Many of our students come to us with gaps in foundational skills, and having consistent access allows them to focus on reasoning, application, and higher-level thinking rather than feeling stuck. Your generosity is helping create a classroom where students feel capable, supported, and willing to take academic risks. Thank you for believing in our students and for making a direct impact on their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1758832358178,"projectUrl":"project/math-on-the-move-engaging-minds-everywh/9479258/","projectTitle":"Math on the Move: Engaging Minds Everywhere","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Prather","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10084464_orig.jpg?crop=1430,1430,x4,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752877307236","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10084464"},{"teacherId":9190049,"projectId":8882745,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all of your donations. We learn in large group and I am able to use these supplies to work with small groups and lower performing kids to help them use all types of learning to gain progress in all areas. Hands on materials are the key to learning. I have had many lower level students and putting materials that they can work on individually and in small group in their hands has made the world of difference. \r\n I plan to add more hands on materials in the future.
