With the internet at our fingertips, dictionaries and thesauruses have become obsolete. Using a dictionary and all the information that goes with it is still a skill that must be taught in school. Students will be able to use the dictionary/thesaurus to help build vocabulary and correct their spelling as they write. They will gain valuable skills in looking up words, learning their meaning(s), and parts of speech. Wiggling while working has become important in our daily lives. The chair bands will provide a quiet activity for students to use while working.
