Your support has made a noticeable difference, and both the students and I are so grateful. The homework bins have been incredibly helpful—students now have a clear, consistent place to turn in their assignments, whether it's homework or classwork. It's made our daily routine smoother and more efficient, and the kids are really enjoying how easy it is to stay on top of their responsibilities.\r\n\r\nThe book bins for our classroom library have also been a game changer. With the books now categorized by genre and reading level, students are much more engaged during independent reading time. They love being able to easily find books that interest them and are appropriate for their level. It's fostered a stronger love for reading and made our library a much more inviting and functional space.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and support. This is always a very exciting time for my students because they not only get to celebrate the end of state testing, but they also get to celebrate it with a STEM activity. My students were taught how to build a rocket from scratch and learned that this is similar to how NASA does theirs as well, but in a kid friendly way. My students were determined and excited even though at times it was difficult for some of them with such delicate parts. Even on the launch days, students did not feel discouraged when their rocket did not launch and they had to rebuild their engines.","fullyFundedDate":1727372213677,"projectUrl":"project/reach-for-the-clouds/8609514/","projectTitle":"Reach for the Clouds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Schlafer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2403819_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1499327736481","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2403819"},{"teacherId":9867596,"projectId":8995101,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our TK classroom has been filled with smiles, giggles, and lots of tiny hands hard at work! When our new clay arrived, the students could hardly wait to explore. Their eyes lit up as we opened the boxes filled with modeling clay. Many had never used materials like this before, and their excitement was heartwarming. They quickly got to work squishing, rolling, and shaping their \"clay critters\"—from snails, snakes, butterflies, and turtles to creatures from their imaginations!\r\n\r\nOne of the most special parts of this project was seeing how much joy and pride the students felt in creating something all on their own. This hands-on activity helped them strengthen their fine motor skills, use their imaginations, and practice sharing and storytelling with their classmates. \r\n\r\nNext, we'll use the clay again during our upcoming storytime unit, where each child will make a character from a book we read together. The students absolutely loved the story, and it gave them such a valuable opportunity to explore and understand a piece of California's history in a meaningful way. It was incredibly rewarding to see their enthusiasm as they made connections between the novel and the real-life events it depicted.\r\n\r\nThis book served as the perfect introduction to California history, especially right before my class visited the California History Museum in February. The students were not only excited to see artifacts from the time period but were also amazed by how closely the events in the book mirrored actual historical events. It sparked so many engaging conversations and gave them a deeper appreciation for both the novel and the history we were learning about.\r\n\r\nYour thoughtful donation truly made a difference in enriching our curriculum and providing an engaging learning experience for the students.
