The magna blocks are always a favorite, but now they have wheels and are being turned into spaceships that can drive over the \"holes\" in the moon and now we are learning what these \"holes\" are! We have had so many adventures with the legos that I cannot even keep up with the pictures and creations and what they are designed to do.\r\n\r\nAgain, your support and commitment to foster this exploration and learning is vital at this young age. The students have developed their own schedule. \r\n\r\nThe stem vacuum is getting ready to be used over our Thanksgiving break. The seat sacks are a hit! Students are keeping their materials more organized. For example, students are storing their headphones in one of the sack pockets. Storing them in the sacks allows them to quickly access their headphones as needed. These sacks are reducing the amount of time of fumbling through a basket of headphones to find their pair to work on programs and assignments online that require students to hear. \r\n\r\nStudents were excited to begin using the seat sacks. They are now storing their books inside the sacks as well which again is reducing amount of time of searching for needed materials. Students were also excited to see the variety of snacks. Providing students with snacks allows them to get the energy and nourishment they need to make it through the day until they each lunch or go home for dinner. They are finding it difficult to choose which snack they will eat each day lol.\r\n\r\nNext step for my students to continue to learn and grow. We created so many memories and experiences in just one day with your help!\r\nThe students were beyond excited to see the materials arriving for our in-house beach day but were not fully grasping the idea until they came to school and saw it all set up. Through your generosity and help from our parents and parent group, we had stations set up where they could play in sand with shovels, buckets, and other sand toys. There was a water area to fish, splash, squirt and explore. Besides this we enjoyed chalk drawing, jump ropes, hitting beach balls, and relaxing in the \"water\" in innertubes. Oh-cannot forget the snacks-we ate all day and finished it up with homemade snow cones and a water balloon toss.\r\nOur day at the beach was successful due to the fact that we had so much support. Each child went home with a bucket, chalk, sunglasses and a summer packet. \r\nI can honestly say we were all tired, in a good way, at the end of the day.\r\nThank you for helping us to celebrate our amazing kindergarteners.","fullyFundedDate":1743967380356,"projectUrl":"project/lets-bring-the-beach-home/9189720/","projectTitle":"Let's Bring the Beach Home!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Arndt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2485090_orig.jpg?crop=2970,2970,x577,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1582748446781","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/arndt-teach"},{"teacherId":9457405,"projectId":8898983,"letterContent":"I wanted to reach out and tell you how much my art club loved working with the Makedo cardboard tools. That is when I busted out the Makedo tools. \r\n\r\nWe spent some time learning how the tools worked. I was very happy to see them being able to cut the cardboard with such ease.
