Their first comments were, \"Wow, Mrs. Schmidt, you must be rich!\" When I told them that I didn't buy these things but they were donated, they wanted to know more. I told them that people care about them and want them to do well in school. \r\n\r\nAlready, the items from the project have made my classroom a better place. Students have enjoyed reading while wearing noise canceling headphones in order to focus better. These also came in handy when the class attended a pep rally (that was very loud!) at the high school for homecoming. It was very fun, but it was a little overwhelming for some of my students. \r\n\r\nStudents love the beanbags the most! They enjoy a comfortable place to read. One student in particular can earn reward time for his behavior, and he is happy to sit on a beanbag and read, play a game, or play with fidgets. One of my classes have a competition to get their work done during the week. On Friday, the two top point earners can do their work from a beanbag. This incentive has been very effective for some of my students. Students have begun to gravitate to my classroom during various break times or after school before attending activities. To have a resource room be a place where students want to come rather than be embarrassed to be seen is amazing.\r\n\r\nI appreciate all of the items that were given to my students and so do they. A lot of my students don't really have nice things at home, and these things have made my classroom a better place. In the future, I'd love to have more resources for my students that will help learners who need a little extra incentive or a place that feels safe. With your help, I was able to do just that - and I will continue to do my best for the school and students.","fullyFundedDate":1761143660991,"projectUrl":"project/resource-room/9667580/","projectTitle":"Resource Room","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Schmidt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10234563"},{"teacherId":7446823,"projectId":9616566,"letterContent":"My kiddos were shocked as I told them that we were able to get fully funded.
