I teach a Cognitive Impaired special needs, self-contained classroom at East Jackson Robinson Elementary. I currently have 16 students not all CI. I have two students with Autism and two students that have physical issues with rest of them being Cognitively Impaired. East Jackson School is considered a title school, more than 70% of the students are at or below the poverty line. We are a neighboring district to the intercity schools of Jackson Public Schools. We have 12% of our student body consisting of special education students. Our school is friendly and family welcoming. It is set out in the country with nature trails and much wildlife.
