Their faces lit up with amazement and curiosity after realizing that all the supplies are ready to be used by them. Many of my students especially my freshmen couldn't believe the materials and supplies were really for them- touching, exploring, and even asking questions where they came from. It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful your generosity is. These resources immediately transformed our classroom into a more dynamic, organized and engaging learning space. \r\n\r\nWe recently completed a one pager project on the book we covered for this quarter for my Juniors and a main idea/quote poster on \"Lamb to the Slaughter\" for my freshmen where my students used the new supplies to design and used their creativity. They made use of the \"Thesaurus\" to define a few words and the 10 drawer cabinet where all the supplies are organized and placed for easy use. They worked in pairs or groups of three to openly discuss what they need to do by brainstorming ideas and work collaboratively with their group in order to come up with great and creative designs. Up next, I am planning to let them design a quotation page or a project where they show their visual talent and creativity. I will have them use the thermal laminator so their project will be preserved for a long period of time and can be displayed on the walls of our classroom. Thanks to your support, they're not just learning—they're imagining, creating, and believing in their ability to make a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1756763130086,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-learn-organizing-a-21st-cen/9512459/","projectTitle":"Ready, Set, Learn! So far, my students have LOVED making and eating pancakes. We have been making pancakes on Fridays, so they have something to look forward to at the end of the week and a great way to start the weekend. \r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to open the boxes and packages of cooking supplies, bowls, pots and pans, and pancake mixes. They were so helpful in putting the materials into the sink so we could wash them before we used them. Once we had everything washed and dried, the students put them away. They are really excited to learn how to make different easy dishes so they can feed themselves. \r\n\r\nI have a list of recipes and ideas of items that we are going to make in the coming weeks and months, and I'm excited to watch students gain confidence in the kitchen and the skills they need to be able to fend for themselves as they get older. Again, thank you so much for your generosity. Because of you, my students are gaining cooking skills.","fullyFundedDate":1746422447228,"projectUrl":"project/cooking-in-the-classroom/9147306/","projectTitle":"Cooking in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jessica Adams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8610673_orig.jpg?crop=2320,2320,x0,y564&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661205163587","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8610673"},{"teacherId":2063444,"projectId":9315316,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our amazing junior and senior French students are turning their learning into something permanent and inspiring! After wrapping up our unit on art in the French-speaking world, students designed ceiling tile murals that celebrate diverse francophone cultures while sharing messages of positivity for future classes.\r\n\r\nWhen the paints, brushes, and supplies first arrived, my students were thrilled to realize they would be able to create with quality art materials, rather than the typical tempera paint and construction paper available for most school projects. Additionally, they seemed focused and proud that their ideas could become something lasting and real in our classroom. \r\n\r\nThe finished murals are already sparking conversations and inspiring other students who pass through our classroom. Because your donations provided more than enough supplies, we'll be able to continue this activity into the next school year and expand it to our French Club, reaching even more students. The next step for us is to build on this success by planning a second round of murals focused on student-designed themes of community and connection, ensuring the legacy of this project continues to grow.\r\n\r\nYour support has made it possible for students not only to practice their French in meaningful ways, but also to connect with the wider world and leave a lasting impact in our school. Thank you for believing in their creativity and helping them share it in such a powerful, visible way! These murals will brighten our classroom and uplift future students for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1746568218223,"projectUrl":"project/leaving-our-mark-celebrating-french-spe/9315316/","projectTitle":"Leaving Our Mark: Celebrating French-Speaking Cultures Through Ceiling Tile Murals","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kingsbery","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2063444_orig.png?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1638256842383","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/centralfrench"},{"teacherId":9861585,"projectId":8988301,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support! The sensory materials you donated have made a big difference in our special education life skills classroom. My students use the items every day to help them feel calm, focused, and ready to learn. One special moment was during a math lesson when a student who usually has a hard time sitting still was able to stay in his seat and finish his work while using a sensory material. These tools are helping my students feel more comfortable and successful during class.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were so excited! They were smiling, laughing, and very curious about the new items. \r\nStudents know where to find the sensory tools and are learning how to use them when they need a break or when they want to focus better.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're using the sensory materials as part of a larger life skills curriculum that includes task completion, communication, and self-regulation strategies. Students are learning how to recognize when they need a sensory break and choose the tools that help them the most.
