Welcome to Bettye Davis East High, the home of the Thunderbirds! We are the largest high school in the State of Alaska and rated the most diverse school in North America! We have students that speak over 100 languages and come from cultures all across the globe. East high school serves a Title I population with over two thirds of our students live below the poverty line. But that doesn't stop us from having the biggest school spirit in the State. Our Fine Arts programs are no different, specifically our Orchestra program. We are the proud recipient of our 3rd Grammy Signature School Award May, 2017 and have numerous students who are successfully chosen for All-State and All North West music festivals.
