My students were so excited when they saw all of the new activities, and they could not wait to start using them. It has been so fun to watch them explore everything and find new favorite ways to learn.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the materials throughout our day, especially during centers and small-group time. The kids love practicing letters with the sensory trays and sand, building letters with the Build-a-Letter sets and letter Magna-Tiles, and using the foam cookie letters. Alphabet bowling has definitely been a favorite! They get so excited to play, and I love that they are practicing important letter and sound skills at the same time.\r\n\r\nWe have also been able to add so much more hands-on learning to science. Our push-and-pull kits and magnet materials give the students a chance to actually explore the concepts we are learning about. There is something pretty special about watching a group of kindergarteners make a prediction, try something out, and get excited when they discover what happens!\r\n\r\nThese materials will continue to be used all year long. As my students grow as readers and writers, we will move from identifying and building letters to working with sounds, building words, and practicing early reading skills. We will also continue using our science materials to explore, ask questions, make predictions, and learn through experimenting.\r\n\r\nOne of my biggest goals as a kindergarten teacher is to make learning something my students are excited to do. Five- and six-year-olds learn so much when they can touch, build, move, create, and explore, and these materials have given us so many more opportunities to do exactly that.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make our classroom a place where learning can feel like play. These materials are already very loved, and I know they will continue to be used by my students for years to come. We are so grateful for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1777989354070,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-adventures-learning-throug/10176964/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten Adventures: Learning Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Runyan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2977381"},{"teacherId":8670092,"projectId":9555190,"letterContent":"These new stools have been amazing for our classroom! It has made it easier for students to keep their attention and good posture while rehearsing. \r\nThey have been so much easier to move and store compared to heavy chairs. Any student can move them with ease and I don't have to worry about anyone getting hurt. \r\nAnother great perk is they are less likely to lean back on these stools since the chance of falling backward is more obvious. I'm so glad that safety problem has been resolved. \r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity and assistance to our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1760693736898,"projectUrl":"project/take-a-seat-make-a-beat/9555190/","projectTitle":"Take a Seat, Make a Beat!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mauchley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8670092"},{"teacherId":8670092,"projectId":9310266,"letterContent":"My students can't thank you enough for your support! Our school has mostly hand-me-down instruments that have gone through several schools before coming to us. So when we add that to the enthusiastic playing that is common with elementary aged students, it makes things get gnarly quickly. \r\n\r\nWith these instruments they not only have something of quality to play, but they feel more valued. Instead of getting leftovers they get to have something that was meant for them. So many of our students already face financial restrictions and let downs, which brings feelings of inadequacy and being forgotten. Something as simple as new instruments goes a long way for these kids. \r\n\r\nI will always encourage them to pay it forward and bring support to others when they can.
