Every year my students struggle to understand how to simplify fractions, I hope these tools will help them understand them better. I will use these tools, such as Dominoes, QUIZMO, and CubiCubi computer desk, to help them better understand how fractions work, how they relate to each other. We explore simplifying and equivalent fractions through the process of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. If my students have a better understanding of how fractions relate to each other in proportion, I truly believe they will have a better chance of succeeding in math and in their future math classes.
