The students were so excited when they first saw the colorful game boards and prime number charts. They couldn't wait to start playing! Research shows that when children engage with books featuring a wide range of voices, backgrounds, and experiences, they develop a stronger sense of inclusivity, representation, and social awareness. Studies also indicate that exposure to diverse narratives enhances students' ability to think critically about social issues and engage meaningfully with different perspectives.\r\n\r\nThrough our funded project Empowering Students with Diverse Books to Build Empathy and Understanding; we create opportunities for students to see themselves reflected in literature while also broadening their worldview.
