My First Grade students need their white boards and art supplies daily at home for zoom sessions. We practice math, spelling, reading and drawing on the white boards. I also do instant assessments on them. The white boards they have are from the math program. They are thin plastic sheets that wrinkle and are hard to maintain. Students need a more durable white board. They also need new markers periodically because markers dry out after long use. We do special art projects regularly that require construction paper and paint. The paint they have also gets old after much use. The students need new paint. Students feel more confident with proper materials. It helps them learn and explore. The art we do is also therapeutic and helps students deal with their personal issues at home. Overall, the addition of all these materials will give them greater motivation to do home learning zoom work and class projects.
