The arrival of our new classroom resources has truly transformed the way our daily lessons flow and how my students engage with their learning environment. It is amazing how \"simple\" upgrades can solve long-standing hurdles and breathe new life into a classroom.\r\n\r\nA New Way to Learn and Move\r\nThe most immediate game-changer has been the HDMI wireless transmitter. For the first time, I am no longer tethered to the front corner of the room by a six-foot cord. During a recent math lesson, I was able to sit on the floor with a small group of struggling learners, guiding them through a digital worksheet on the big screen while standing right beside them. The students' eyes widened when they realized I could change the slides from the back of the room—one student even whispered, \"Is that magic?\" It has allowed me to be a much more present and mobile teacher.\r\n\r\nSafety, Organization, and Excitement\r\nThe students were equally thrilled by the smaller, practical additions. When they saw the new sturdy cubby for their science journals, there was a collective sigh of relief. No more digging through a messy pile to find their work! They treat that cubby with such respect, carefully sliding their journals into their designated slots. And on a very practical note, our new doorstop has been a hit. My students were quick to point out that we no longer have to navigate around a \"5-gallon tub of rocks\" to get to the hallway. It's a much safer, sleeker entrance that makes our room feel like a professional studio rather than a storage closet.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Us\r\nWith these resources in place, we are diving headfirst into our \"Junior Scientists\" unit. Because our science journals are now so easily accessible, we are starting daily observations of our classroom seedlings. My newfound mobility with the wireless HDMI means I can now take the laptop over to the window to show live, magnified close-ups of the sprouts on the main projector screen without skipping a beat.\r\n\r\nThank you for seeing the value in these tools. You haven't just provided supplies; you've provided a safer, more organized, and more dynamic space for these bright minds to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1766770476374,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies-for-a-safer-healthie/9872731/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies for a Safer, Healthier, and More Efficient Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. C.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4029892_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1482358476302","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-creech"},{"teacherId":9451654,"projectId":9465886,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donations, our classroom has become a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable place to learn! The tissues and disinfectant wipes you provided are being used every single day to help keep our students healthy and focused. It's amazing how something so simple can make such a big difference.\r\n\r\nWhen our students saw the new supplies, their faces lit up! They were thrilled to know that people outside our classroom care about them and want to support their learning environment. We talked about how acts of kindness like yours help our classroom community stay strong and connected. It was a great opportunity to remind students of the power of generosity and gratitude.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these supplies will continue to support every lesson, project, and group activity we do. From small group reading to science experiments, having a clean and organized space allows students to stay focused on learning and working together. Thank you for making that possible, you've helped create a positive, caring classroom environment where students feel valued and supported every day.","fullyFundedDate":1752812051394,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-2025-2026/9465886/","projectTitle":"Supplies for 2025-2026","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9451654_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744222513601","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9451654"},{"teacherId":9565314,"projectId":9192575,"letterContent":"On behalf of my middle school students, I want to extend my sincere thanks for your generous support in providing comfortable bean bag chairs for our classroom. What might seem like a small addition has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our learning environment.\r\n\r\nFrom the very first day the bean bag chairs arrived, the excitement was felt. Students were immediately drawn to the soft, inviting seating and quickly began to see our classroom as a more welcoming and flexible space.\r\n\r\nThe bean bag chairs have become more than just seating. For students who struggle with traditional desks, especially those with attention or sensory needs, these chairs have provided comfort, focus, and a sense of calm. They've used this space to read more deeply, collaborate more freely, and feel relaxed in the classroom.\r\n\r\nPerhaps most importantly, these small but meaningful changes have helped create a classroom culture centered on care, choice, and community. The students now take turns using the chairs responsibly and with gratitude.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in the power of simple changes to make a big difference. Your generosity has helped foster a love of learning math, and we are all better for it.","fullyFundedDate":1742928624074,"projectUrl":"project/comfy-seating-options-for-students/9192575/","projectTitle":"Comfy Seating Options for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mercier","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9565314_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754091210454","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9565314"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63253","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":778,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":27,"percentIndigenous":4,"percentLatinx":62,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.8,"schoolId":63253,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eagle Ridge Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eagle Ridge Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/rio-rancho-public-school-district/eagle-ridge-middle-school/63253"}
