My school is very lucky to be bursting at the seams with excited, motivated kids who love science!
We have a very diverse population at my school. We have many, many different languages spoken at the homes of our students. Every class has kids from all corners of the world. We also have diversity in the kinds of resources and support the kids have outside of school. Our caring, supportive staff does an excellent job of leveling the playing field and providing services and interventions to students who need our help to succeed. Our students are curious, energetic and eager learners with questions about everything they see and hear! It is my job to keep that curiosity alive as they learn and grow over the years. I won't be surprised to learn years from now that a former student (or two, or three...) is doing something positive to change the world!
