This year, our school started the Accelerated Reader(A.R.)program. This program allows students to read books and take comprehension tests on the computer. I love it, because it motivates students to read. I also, have a chart where my first graders can place a sticker every time they pass a test. \r\n\r\nMy students this year are mostly English Language Learners, which means that they are still acquiring the language. There are not that many books that are easy for them to read. With the easy readers that I asked for, they were able to read and pass tests. This boosted their reading confidence and improved their reading fluency.\r\n\r\nSome of my students even received a medal in their end of year ceremony for completing the A.R. challenge.","fullyFundedDate":1742568732603,"projectUrl":"project/baam-boom-poow-here-come-the-readers/9172467/","projectTitle":"Baam, Boom, Poow!
