This project means a lot to our Kindergarten team as we are always working towards finding a hands-on approach to exploratory learning. These STEM and science boxes check all the boxes on what our students need to expand their minds and curiosity. We are utilizing these resources by creating weekly STEM centers for students to self-explore through each rotation. They take away ideas on designing, cross-curricular learning, and just having fun with learning in general. \r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, I was excited and giddy to open all the new tools for our students. Once I set them all up on the cart that was purchased through this project, students were quick to ask about it and see how it would be used in class. I set up rules and expectations with my class and will also explain to the rest of the team how we can utilize it throughout our grade level. Students love the Marble runs, the variety of science centers, and the STEM Fairy Tale themed centers. Students were quick to catch on to the goals of each center, and they continuously ask for more. \r\n\r\nAs we have only explored the centers on a general basis, I am working on creating thematic STEM units throughout the year that incorporate the centers that were part of this project. For example, one of the STEM Fairy Tale themed boxes was The Gingerbread Man. I would want to work on this throughout the month of November and December, since we read many different versions of the book to compare as an English Language Arts standard, and we also create our own stories of the Gingerbread Man, which are displayed in the hallway for all to read. We also create our own art of the Gingerbread Man to display next to their stories. In addition to the subjects already used, I am working on creating Gingerbread man math centers that go along with the unit. Being able to create a grand thematic unit will not only make learning fun but also make a lasting impression on young learners.\r\n\r\nI thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting this project and the impact it is already making in my classroom this school year. I am hopeful to continue the projects in the near future to further improve our Kindergarten program, along with continuing to spark excitement in young learners.","fullyFundedDate":1770865512591,"projectUrl":"project/stem-tastic-adventures/10080693/","projectTitle":"STEM-tastic Adventures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cristofori","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1174256_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y108&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770231225081","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1174256"},{"teacherId":10358060,"projectId":9984886,"letterContent":"Your contributions toward our classroom supplies have done much more than just fill shelves; they have fundamentally shifted our ability to provide high-quality, targeted support to our students. Because of you, our intervention teams are now equipped with the specific tools they need to reach students across every grade level, ensuring that no child is left to navigate their learning journey without the proper resources.\r\n\r\nThe impact of the new resources for myself and the other Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) of pragmatic language resources cannot be overstated. For our students receiving Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, these materials are the literal bridges to better communication. We are already seeing students engage more confidently with social cues and conversational nuances that were previously a struggle. Having a dedicated library of professional-grade resources allows us to tailor our support to the unique needs of each child, turning what used to be \"one-size-fits-all\" moments into personalized breakthroughs.\r\n\r\nBeyond the academic and linguistic support, the new fidgets and sensory tools have become essential components of our daily classroom environment. These aren't just \"toys\"—they are vital regulation tools that help our students stay grounded, focused, and ready to learn. By providing a safe outlet for sensory needs, you've helped us create a more inclusive campus where every student feels seen and supported. Thank you for investing in our students' potential and for being the \"secret sauce\" in our success this year.","fullyFundedDate":1769615615610,"projectUrl":"project/speech-and-mtss-for-success/9984886/","projectTitle":"Speech and Mtss for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10358060"},{"teacherId":3686396,"projectId":9945911,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom project.
