Building classroom community is crucial. A classroom carpet is a great community tool that allows for engaging story time as well as partner talk and organized discussions during instruction. I love the movement from tables to carpet throughout the day to give students multiple classmates to work with each day. The sectioned carpet will allow for personal space and organization throughout the various transitions. The colors will help for partner talk directions such as purple and orange pair share or purple to purple. Technology is always changing and improving so students need to be equipped with the latest technology as they are the leaders of tomorrow. 21st century learning is the way to go and and an iPad will enhance this learning opportunity through the use of interactive instruction and collaboration.
