During science class, I opened the boxes to share the resources. I explained to the kids that we would be able to plant seeds this year as our culminating project for our science unit that was focused on plants and the lifecycle.\r\n\r\nIn small groups, students were able to fill their cups with soil, use a tool to make small holes for the seeds, and finally cover the seeds with fresh soil. Each student was able to bring home a small plant with instructions for care and replanting. \r\n\r\nStudents have been reporting that their plants are growing well and many have replanted them in their vegetable gardens at home\r\n\r\nThank you so much Don for making this happen for our second grade students.
