They have helped to increase numbers as many of our older volleyballs are fairly worn. As both the school's girls and boys programs use these, we need to replace them fairly regularly. We have roughly 40-42 girls in the girls volleyball program & 3 teams yearly, thus we need a large amount of these in order to conduct practices effectively. With access to professional-grade cameras, editing software, and sound equipment, students can experiment with real-world techniques, gaining practical skills that translate to future careers. This technology also fosters collaboration, as students must navigate technical setups together, troubleshoot challenges, and refine their creative vision—mirroring the professional filmmaking process.\r\n\r\nStudents are most excited about the opportunity to elevate their projects to a higher level of quality and professionalism. Whether it's the ability to shoot in higher resolution, capture clearer audio, or edit with more precision, these tools make their work feel more polished and cinematic. Many students take pride in seeing their creative ideas come to life with the same types of equipment used in the industry, making them feel more confident and capable as filmmakers.\r\n\r\nOwen, a student in my program, not only won a Silver Key at Scholastic National Arts & Writing Award, but has won Best Picture awards from many high school film festival. One standout example is Dominic, a student who is passionate about post-production and editing in Adobe Premiere. He has embraced the advanced editing tools, meticulously refining scenes and experimenting with new techniques to enhance storytelling. Similarly, Emily, who focuses on production design and cinematography, has taken full advantage of improved camera equipment to create more dynamic, visually compelling shots. Their enthusiasm has inspired other students to push their creative boundaries and experiment with the new technology in ways they hadn't before.\r\n\r\nWithout your support, and especially the support of the Pinellas Education Foundation, I don't think we could've provided these talented students with all the materials needed to make their movies.
