The supplies we requested have allowed us to get our garden started this school year.\r\n\tWe used the soil to prepare the flower beds for the plants and seeds. We used the watering system to help us maintain the plants. We also integrated the garden into our Earth lessons and pollution lessons. Helping students realize the importance of taking care of our soil and not littering. \r\n\tThe crops we grow help us in our science lessons, making connections with nutrition and healthy food choices.\r\n\tThe garden teaches my students responsibility. Not only are they taking care of living things, but they are also becoming more aware and responsible with the environment, pollution, water waste, climate change and weather extremes.
