It has helped me engage my students in a skill that seems to have been forgotten. My students enjoyed handling the money. they are learning how to count change back. \r\nThe menu curriculum is allowing me to teach how tax is calculated. They are using math skills to answer questions that allow them to critically think. Also, the menus make us hungry as well!\r\nWe use donated receipts to role play. Students pair up, one is the cashier and the other is the customer. They are learning how to count change back. and physically hand change to their \"customer.\" They are learning how to keep their money neat to ensure they are not losing any, as a cashier would in their place of employment.\r\nStudents have also learned about checks. They are learning what they are used for and how to fill one out properly. \r\nI look forward for my students to use their new money skills when we go on a field trip this year, and they know how to handle a cash transaction.","fullyFundedDate":1727146096743,"projectUrl":"project/smart-money-moves-financial-literacy-f/8795894/","projectTitle":"Smart Money Moves!!
