Now that this project was funded, those funds can be saved or used for our classroom teachers. The equipment purchased has already started to make a huge, positive impact on our class! We have been able to incorporate so many more activities and games into our planning, and students have truly enjoyed the experience. \r\n\r\nBadminton has become a very popular sport for our kids at Desert Foothills. Their feeder high schools have competitive teams that have done well, so there is extra motivation to hone skills to make the team. Providing students with more opportunities to play Badminton in PE has been very beneficial. They are excited to come to class, eager to participate, and have demonstrated the best sportsmanship when playing badminton. This would not have been possible without your donations! \r\n\r\nStudents love to use the new equipment. Something about a shiny new volleyball, the fresh plastic smell of a new badminton birdie, and the squishy foam of a brand new dodgeball really bring out an excitement like no other! It makes the games and activities in class so much fun to watch because the kids want to compete and do well. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, I have lots of plans to incorporate this equipment into our school and class. First, I am going to add an indoor hockey unit using our new foam covers for our sticks. Our volleyball team will be able to compete for another district championship next year with the new volleyballs that have been provided. We will also be able to provide recess with some of our used outdoor equipment since we replaced ours in PE Class. This allows more of our school to benefit from this project! \r\n\r\nWe are so grateful to have been funded! Our kids will reap so many benefits from regular exercise and play.
