They reacted with excitement when they saw the chef's hats and the measuring materials!\r\n\r\nI launched this unit by giving students time to decorate their hat, and then we moved on to some guided exploration. Students rotated through centers with water, sand, dry rice, dry beans, pompoms, and playdough and used their measuring scoops to mix fractions with sensory play.
