The installation of bird feeders ties in directly with our district outdoor learning long-term vision. Over the course of the current school year students have frequently taken their learning outside of the traditional classroom setting, this trend will only increase as we incorporate more areas on our campus set up for the exploration and observation of nature. \r\n\r\nWe chose to install our bird feeders in our raised garden bed area. Our district is located in a very rural area and our district campus is directly located between agricultural crop fields. We are working hard to establish a green space that will be supportive of native species and attract pollinators. The gardens and bird feeders are the first steps in in our long term goal.\r\n\r\nSeeing the birds locate and use the bird feeders within the first hour of installation was incredibly rewarding.
