Because of your kindness, this project has been an overwhelming success and has made a meaningful impact on every student in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe day our materials were delivered, my students were extremely excited and grateful! Their faces lit up with joy as they explored the new resources, and the excitement throughout our classroom was unforgettable. From the very beginning, they understood that these materials were something special, and they immediately embraced the opportunity to use them in their learning.\r\n\r\nWith these new tools, my students now have the resources they need to grow toward their individual phonics, reading, and writing goals during both targeted small-group instruction and whole-group lessons. The low-tech, high-interest word-building kits have completely transformed our weekly phonics practice into something engaging, hands-on, and exciting for students. They are eager to participate, collaborate, and practice important literacy skills in authentic and meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThese materials have especially helped students strengthen their sound blending and segmenting strategies, giving them repeated opportunities to build confidence as emerging readers and writers. What has been most special to witness is the pride students feel in having their very own word-building kits. Because each child has personal access to these materials, they are taking greater ownership of their independent learning goals and showing increased confidence in their daily work.\r\n\r\nThe joy, confidence, and enthusiasm these kits have brought into our classroom has been truly remarkable. Your generosity has not only provided valuable learning tools, but it has also created opportunities for students to feel successful, capable, and excited about learning every day. Thank you for investing in our students and helping create a classroom environment where every child can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1775757160191,"projectUrl":"project/watch-us-build-wordsand-confidence/10149865/","projectTitle":"Watch Us Build Words—and Confidence!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sebastian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10462443_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1773642987239","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-sebastian-del-rio-elementary"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_37101","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":371,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":10,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":70,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":4,"percentMultiracialImputed":8,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"20.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.3,"schoolId":37101,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Del Rio Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Del Rio Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/oceanside-unified-school-district/del-rio-elementary-school/37101"}
