I am currently able to host a garden club 2 to 3 days a week. We hosted several school wide community days that allowed family and students to come work participate and make our school a prettier place. In doing so, we collaborated across grade levels. \r\n\r\nGrades are now starting their seedlings in class and we even have our site security liaison growing sprouts to help classes have plants to start grow growing. Students have the ability to grow edible flowers, vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, and sea of variety of edible plants that make up their diet. \r\n\r\nThis garden is providing students with hands-on learning. I'm surprised how excited they are just for weeding and garden prep. Students are learning discipline and responsibility. They are seeing how much work goes into the food they eat in real time.\r\n\r\nThe students and I are so excited to see and the years to come how much our garden will grow when it becomes established. \r\n\r\nWe could've not done this without your support as many students financially cannot have a garden at home.
