What might seem like a small gesture (offering healthy snacks) has had such a meaningful and far-reaching effect on my students' daily experience.\r\n\r\nFrom the first day I introduced the snack station, the excitement was contagious. Students were drawn in by the colorful display of fruits cups, granola, and wholesome treats, and their reactions said it all—smiles, laughter, and comments like \"We get to have these every day?\" It was a simple but powerful moment that reminded me how important it is to meet students' basic needs before I can ask them to engage deeply in learning.\r\n\r\nSince then, I've seen firsthand how access to healthy snacks supports focus, energy, and emotional regulation. Whether it's a quick bite before a test or something to hold them over during a busy afternoon, the snacks have helped my students stay more present and productive throughout the school day. I have noticed fewer complaints of fatigue or distraction and more participation and enthusiasm in class activities.\r\n\r\nBut perhaps most importantly, this project has helped foster a classroom culture rooted in care and equity. Every student knows that this is a space where their well-being matters. It's not just about snacks. It's about creating an environment where they feel valued, supported, and ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nThe \"Snacks for Success\" initiative has truly been a bright spot in our year, and we're incredibly grateful for the positive impact it's had in our classroom. I am looking forward to continuing and expanding this work in the year ahead!","fullyFundedDate":1739991256080,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-for-success/8927527/","projectTitle":"Snacks for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Canobas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7268371_orig.jpg?crop=547,548,x0,y32&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632927795239","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7268371"},{"teacherId":304487,"projectId":8870007,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kind donations.
