However, the materials have already become a valuable part of my current 7th and 8th grade Spanish classes. Both groups are beginning to prepare for the upcoming exam, and we are using the new resources to practice the skills they will need, including reading comprehension, vocabulary, and applying their Spanish in meaningful contexts. We have currently completed a project where we studied monuments across different Spanish-speaking countries. Students chose one monument and were able to research, then share their perspective on the monument.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new materials, especially the differentiated student options. They loved having choices that allow them to work in ways that best fit their learning needs and preferences. One of the biggest hits has been the ability to take their learning outside and work in a different environment. Something as simple as changing our learning space has made a noticeable difference in their engagement and excitement. The skin-colored crayons and markers have also been a huge hit! Students immediately noticed that they now have a wider variety of colors to represent themselves and others more authentically in their projects. It has been wonderful to see students excited about having materials that allow them to be more creative and see themselves represented in their work.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue preparing for the upcoming exam while building students' confidence in their Spanish skills. My 7th and 8th graders are currently working on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and responding to questions using context clues and strategies they can apply independently.\r\nWe will continue using the new resources to practice these skills through differentiated activities, small-group work, and opportunities to learn in different environments, including taking our learning outside when appropriate. I want students to see that preparing for an exam does not have to mean sitting at a desk completing practice questions all day. They can collaborate, move, create, and learn in ways that work best for them.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, I will use their progress to identify areas where they need additional support and tailor our activities accordingly. My goal is for every student to feel prepared, capable, and confident when exam day arrives.","fullyFundedDate":1781001342234,"projectUrl":"project/rumbo-al-xito-preparing-for-ap-spanish/10094318/","projectTitle":"Rumbo al Éxito: Preparing for AP Spanish","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jimenez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10432997"},{"teacherId":9323560,"projectId":9432073,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting \"Re-charging Resources for Mental Batteries.\" Your generosity makes a real difference, helping us provide mental health materials, uplifting tools, and small positive rewards that benefit our students.\r\n\r\nStudents are already using the calming resources to reset during challenging moments, and the small prizes have brought motivation and encouragement into our daily routines.
