Our school library is in the process of being updated to meet the needs of our unique and diverse student population. I hope to create a community in the library that cultivates curiosity, cooperation, and life long learning. This will have a positive impact on my students' academic success and improve their self esteem. Most students are identified as low socio/economic and striving to improve academically. Our library collection is in need of current and relevant books to meet the needs of these students. De Anza is a Magnet Middle School offering 21st Century curriculum including technology infused learning, project based learning, Visual Thinking Strategies, S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and thriving Art and Music Programs. The library needs to be refreshed to meet the goals of our school. Thank you for your support!
