As a Preschool for All Learners (PALs) classroom, many of my students benefit greatly from structure, accessibility, and predictable routines. Because of your kindness, we were able to create organized spaces that support independence, confidence, and daily success for our young learners.\r\nSince receiving these new resources, our students have been using them every single day. The organizational tools have helped us create clearly labeled learning areas for literacy, sensory exploration, math, fine motor activities, and social-emotional learning. Having materials organized and easy to access has made a tremendous difference in how students move throughout our classroom and engage in learning. Students are now able to independently locate classroom tools, put away materials, and transition between activities with greater confidence and responsibility.\r\nOne special moment that stood out was during center time when several students independently found their literacy materials, selected their activities, and began engaging with peers without needing as many adult prompts. For many preschool students—especially in a special education setting—small moments of independence are huge milestones. Watching students confidently explore, problem-solve, and interact with organized materials showed just how impactful these resources have been.\r\nWhen my students first saw the newly organized spaces, they were excited, curious, and eager to explore every area. They immediately noticed the clear organization and were drawn to the different learning centers. Their excitement helped create renewed engagement in the classroom, making learning feel fresh, inviting, and fun. The calm and organized environment has also reduced distractions, improved transitions, and supported self-regulation for students who thrive with visual structure and consistency.\r\nThese resources have not only helped with classroom organization but have strengthened our ability to provide intentional instruction. During small-group lessons, materials are now easier to access and ready for literacy practice, math exploration, sensory activities, and collaborative learning. This has helped maximize instructional time and reduce interruptions during teaching.\r\nAs we move forward, our next steps include continuing to build student independence, strengthen classroom routines, and expand hands-on learning experiences. We will use these organized spaces to support upcoming literacy projects, sensory exploration, social-emotional activities, and play-based learning opportunities that help students develop communication, problem-solving, and early academic skills.\r\nYour support has given our students more than just classroom resources—it has created a space where they feel safe, successful, and excited to learn. Thank you for believing in our students and helping create a stronger foundation for growth, exploration, and achievement. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom community.\r\nWith heartfelt gratitude,\r\nMr. Sarmiento","fullyFundedDate":1778172473103,"projectUrl":"project/organized-spaces-successful-students/10274962/","projectTitle":"Organized Spaces, Successful Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Sarmiento","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8737794_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1671732090739","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8737794"},{"teacherId":10053698,"projectId":9471924,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support with funding supplies for my new classroom. We were able to purchase a laminator, fidgets, rulers, pencil holders, markers, and even fruit snacks! Every single item we received impacted our classroom in a positive way. Our laminator and pencil holders gave our classroom a sense of neatness and organization. Also, we were able to make goody bags, which included rulers and markers, for home use. Often times, parents in our community have expressed difficulty in providing basic materials for their children to complete assignments at home. You helped alleviate this burden for our families. Equally as important were the fruit snacks. Students expressed how much they liked these, especially when they were able to pick them from our classroom treasure chest and share them with siblings at home or eat them after school, when dinner is still not ready.
