They help students to focus on their learning for longer periods of time in a way that is not distracting to their classmates or themselves. \r\nThese are a win-win for teachers and students, allowing students to get some wiggles out while at the same time, facilitating teacher instruction. Students are allowed autonomy to choose if and when using a wiggle cushion will help them focus. By providing pads, liners, wipes, hand sanitizer, and discreet bags adorned with encouraging words, the project created a supportive system in which students can access what they need without fear of stigma or judgment. This simple shift—knowing that essentials are always available—has created a more equitable and emotionally safe space for all students who menstruate.
