I was moved up to first grade, but I was able to pivot and use the supplies to make items specific to first grade. \r\n\r\nWe used the water colors to paint parts of the human body as well as Christmas artwork. We used the paint sticks and oil pastels to make our very own planets! \r\n\r\nOur most special project yet was just completed. I gave students Model Magic (I had plenty thanks to your generosity), and they each made an animal. They used the grant funded tempura paint to paint their animals. I worked with a local shoe store to get a shoebox for each student, and then they took their shoebox, animal, and some art supplies home to make habitat dioramas. They came out beautiful! Their faces were beaming with excitement.
