My students are thrilled to have more flexible seating options to choose from. The benefit of flexible seating is to have the student in a comfortable position so that they can focus on what we are trying to learn. \r\n\r\nSome of the items came in before school was over last year. Last year's class was able to use those for the last couple months of school. The rest came over the summer so everything was ready to go this fall. \r\n\r\nPlease keep your eye out for our next project! Each year we have bought pennants for the third graders to take around the building to have staff and students sign as a memento of their elementary years. We haven't been able to do that due to a rise in pricing. It really allowed us to get off to a great start. Having school supplies like cardstock, highlighters and tape donated helps take the financial burden off from the teacher and the parents. The flashlights have already been used and will be beneficial throughout the year. The learners feel safe knowing that we have an additional light source in the classroom if the electricity were to go out. We have already practiced so many drills. The flashlights will also be used for reading by pointing and tracking words. We will also study shadows in February.
