Wireless headphones will help my students to be more successful during their learning time. During the school week, I set up five reading stations that students rotate through. One station is the listening station. The children love it. Wireless headphones would eliminate the hullabaloo that occurs while setting up a listening station. Often, cords become twisted or are not long enough. If students move while wearing corded headphones in a group, the headphones fall off or disrupt others' learning. This often results in a little spat which takes me away from my guided reading station. During listening stations, students are able to listen with headphones to stories via the Internet and my Smartboard. There are several websites that parents and teachers have access to that enable children to hear stories online. The opportunities are endless. To finalize, my students would be able to begin their listening station sooner if they had wireless headphones. They may even complete their work on time.
