The small library is next to our calming corner; the books donated has allowed students to not only regulate their emotions at the calming corner but also read a new book. Every day a student finds a new book to read in my classroom which is very heart warming because as long as they are in my classroom I want my students to have any and every opportunity to pick up a book and read it. \r\n\r\nI could tell the students were so excited with this new addition to our classroom. Every time a package came in they were so excited because they knew it was going to be a new book or a new shelf! After the shelf was built the students have been so careful with all the books donated and are constantly keeping our reading area organized.","fullyFundedDate":1746785638064,"projectUrl":"project/encouraging-reading/9255838/","projectTitle":"Encouraging Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Espindola","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9548514_orig.jpg?crop=2066,2066,x483,y564&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744580153946","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9548514"},{"teacherId":4608474,"projectId":9236171,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your thoughtful donations. Wearing masks helped reduce the spread of germs, especially in close classroom settings where social distancing wasn't always possible. It was a simple but powerful way for students to protect themselves and their classmates.\r\n\r\nHand sanitizer stations throughout the classroom encouraged students to clean their hands regularly, especially before eating or after touching shared surfaces. This helped lower the chance of illness spreading and kept our classroom environment cleaner.\r\n\r\nThanks to these precautions, we were able to spend more days learning together in person, which made a big difference for students' education and well-being.
