I can't believe how quickly it was funded and how quickly the materials were delivered! At the beginning of the year, I was able to read The Little Spots books to begin our discussion on understanding our feeling and how to safely express them. These books helped us learn new ways to cope with our feelings. The little spot hand-sized stuffed animals have been helpful with students who may be sad, scared, or overwhelmed. They know to grab a little spot and take it back to their seat so that they can continue learning.\r\n\r\nThe calming corner has been amazing in helping students calm down when they need it. It has been wonderful to see students go to the calming corner, set the timer, use the breathing activities and calming tools to regulate their emotions. Students have successfully been able to calm down within the time limit and return back to their learning activity.
