My class loves the Let's Find Out magazine! We read it every Monday. I call it Magazine Monday, and they get excited to see what the topic will be each week.\r\nThe topics this year did not disappoint! The kinders have learned about apples, penguins, Martin Luther King Jr, nocturnal animals, who invented maple syrup, and so much more. I love using the additional resources that Scholastic provides. This year, for the apple magazine, Scholastic suggested doing an apple taste test. It was a fun math/science connection that was enjoyable for the kinders and connected to the theme. The kinders tasted 3 different apples, recorded their opinions on the recording sheet that Scholastic provided, and then I graphed the data for the class to analyze. The kinders loved it!\r\nThanks again for helping me make kindergarten an engaging and joyful learning experience for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1752188303795,"projectUrl":"project/nonfiction-magazines-for-kindergartners/9405428/","projectTitle":"Nonfiction Magazines for Kindergartners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Daun","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5887372_orig.jpg?crop=3733,3733,x0,y520&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1566286120566","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5887372"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35519","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":446,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":43,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":58.5,"schoolId":35519,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Crestline Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Crestline Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/evergreen-school-district-114/crestline-elementary-school/35519"}
