Hello! The materials I have selected are good quality leveled readers. It is very difficult for parents to know how to select books that are at their child's reading level or just slightly above their child's reading level for optimal learning. Children often end up with books that are too hard, leaving them frustrated. These books have a pattern to them. Students learn the pattern and usually have to figure out one or two tricky words by looking at the picture and sounding out the words. These books give kids confidence because they can read most of the words on the page and only have to figure out a couple words. They help kindergarteners see themselves as readers and they are high interest books that 5 and 6 year olds are interested in.
