When the package arrived, their curiosity and excitement were obvious. Most had never seen a jelly plate before and couldn't wait to find out what was inside. The whole class gathered around, asking questions and guessing how we might use it in our art room.\r\nAfter I showed them how jelly plate printing works, their excitement only grew. The students jumped right in, trying out different colors, textures, and patterns. They really enjoyed working with their hands and were excited to see the unique prints they made.\r\nWhat began as curiosity soon turned into enthusiastic exploration, with students eagerly sharing ideas, techniques, and discoveries.\r\nThe impact of this experience was tremendous. The jelly plates encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and artistic confidence in a way that engaged every learner. Students who are sometimes hesitant to participate became fully involved, while others challenged themselves to try new approaches and designs. The classroom was filled with laughter, collaboration, and genuine joy as students created artworks they were proud of. The jelly plate printing experience was an overwhelming success, providing an exciting and memorable learning opportunity that inspired creativity and engagement for all.","fullyFundedDate":1773717156362,"projectUrl":"project/layers-of-imagination-exploring-art-wit/10136498/","projectTitle":"Layers of Imagination: Exploring Art with Jelly Plate Printing","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bonnay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10459438"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_70958","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":195,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":75,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":9,"gradesServed":"K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"10.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":73.0,"schoolId":70958,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Crescentwood Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Crescentwood Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/eastpointe-community-schools/crescentwood-elementary-school/70958"}
