The kidney table has quickly become a central part of our classroom, allowing my students to gather around and engage in group activities like arts and crafts, building blocks, and storytime. The children love using the table to practice writing and drawing pictures together. It is amazing to watch them work together, sharing ideas, colors, and tools. The table encourages teamwork and lets me sit right with them, offering support and guidance as needed.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new table, their excitement was palpable! They immediately wanted to sit around it, eager to explore the new space. They loved the idea of having a special spot for group activities, and many of them even started to use the table for pretend play, creating their own little scenarios with toys and materials. It was heartwarming to see them so engaged and excited, and it truly made our classroom feel more welcoming and organized.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to continue using the kidney table for our upcoming lessons. The table will be perfect for us to work together on sorting games, matching activities, and working on individual student goals. With this new resource, my students are becoming more confident in their learning and in working together, and we can't wait to see how the table will help foster even more creativity and collaboration in the future!","fullyFundedDate":1739222054867,"projectUrl":"project/a-kidney-table-for-exceptional-learning/9091991/","projectTitle":"A Kidney Table for Exceptional Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Shearin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4683335_orig.jpg?crop=475,475,x0,y49&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738376008206","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4683335"},{"teacherId":9454909,"projectId":8901434,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in donating materials for my first-grade classroom! Your thoughtful contributions of games, whiteboards, and activity books have truly transformed our small group time and provided my students with meaningful and engaging learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in my classroom was palpable the day we unveiled the new resources. When the students saw the bright games and activity books, their eyes lit up with joy. \"Wow, this is just like a fun puzzle!\" one of my students exclaimed while exploring a word game. The whiteboards were an instant hit as well—students eagerly used them to practice spelling sight words and solving math problems, often turning it into friendly competitions to see who could complete tasks the fastest!\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments so far has been during a small group reading session. Using one of the donated games, my students worked together to practice beginning and ending sounds in a way that felt more like play than work. Watching them collaborate, cheer each other on, and celebrate small victories was heartwarming.\r\n\r\nAs we look ahead, these resources will continue to play a critical role in our classroom projects. Right now, we're working on building foundational literacy skills, and the activity books are a perfect tool for reinforcing letter sounds and sight words. The whiteboards are helping students visually map out their thoughts, whether they're solving math problems or brainstorming story ideas for writing.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has given my students tools that make learning fun and engaging, and I can already see the impact on their confidence and skills.
