Having complete sets of the Wings of Fire series gives students something incredibly important: access to books they are genuinely excited to read.\r\n\r\n1. Students are reading because they want to read.\r\nThe biggest impact has been engagement. Students are drawn to these books, and once they begin the series, they want to continue to the next book. For students who do not always see themselves as readers, finding a series that captures their attention can completely change their relationship with reading.\r\n\r\n2. Students can keep reading without having to stop.\r\nBecause this project provided multiple books in the series, students do not have to finish one book and then wait weeks to find the next one. They can continue reading while their interest is still strong. That helps students build reading stamina, confidence, and the habit of choosing a book on their own.\r\n\r\n3. The books are helping create a community of readers.\r\nStudents notice what their classmates are reading. They recommend books to one another, talk about favorite characters and events, and become excited when someone else begins the same series. These books are not simply sitting on a classroom shelf—they are helping make independent reading a visible and shared part of our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping put books into my students' hands that they are excited to open.
