They have been practicing reading, recording it on the buzzer, listening to it and hearing where they can improve. They love It! The magnetic sentence strips have allowed me to model handwriting and correct formation on the board. In addition, we use the sentence strips to create sentences, which in turn create paragraphs. Their writing is being strengthened as well. We use the dry erase dots on our reading table. Students decode a word and encode or spell it on the whiteboard dots. They love the bright colored dots. \r\n\r\nStudents have been practicing various math skills using the decks of cards donated through this grant. They reinforce number sense, greater than/less than, addition, subtraction and place value all through fun games utilizing the cards which were generously paid for by our donors.\r\n\r\nI am grateful for the new computer monitor, keyboard and hub. Your support has made a remarkable difference in our daily learning environment, and I want to share just how much your gift has meant to my students and me.\r\n\r\nThe noise-canceling headphones and clipboards have truly transformed the way students approach their work. Many students are now choosing to find comfortable spots around the classroom, using the headphones to create a quiet bubble where they can concentrate deeply. The clipboards give them the flexibility to write and complete assignments wherever they feel most focused. Students love having the choice to move and work in ways that suit their learning styles.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the organizer cart has brought a new level of order and efficiency to our classroom. Your contribution will have a profound impact on our learning environment, and we are thrilled to share with you the positive effects it has had on our students already, particularly our Spanish-speaking learners.\r\n\r\n Having the Spanish versions of these books has allowed all students to be fully engaged in the reading and access grade-level content, regardless of their language background. For example, during a recent lesson, two of my Spanish speaking students were able to read and discuss with the class which sparked lively and thoughtful conversations about the themes and characters.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, during our reading intervention time. The book clubs were able to work together by forming a mixed-language discussion group, allowing students to explore shared themes in their strongest language. Our Utah school serves children from all kinds of backgrounds, yet they share one beautiful quality: a genuine thirst for knowledge. As a teacher, my greatest joy is giving them every tool and experience I can to enrich their educational journey. Reading, writing, math, and science matter deeply—but so does something just as essential: learning to take responsibility for their belongings, their assignments, and themselves.\r\n\r\nThis grant has helped me create a more effective system for my students to organize their things and turn their work in on time. What once felt like a daily scramble now has structure and rhythm. My students know where their materials belong, they can find their assignments when they need them, and they are learning to manage their own learning. It's a small change on the surface, but the confidence it gives each child is anything but small—they feel capable, prepared, and in control of their own success.\r\n\r\nLearning to be a responsible citizen is paramount, especially in these early, formative years. By giving my students a clear system to demonstrate responsibility and citizenship, our classroom has become a place that prepares children to grow into respectful, productive, contributing members of society. Watching them take pride in being organized, turning things in on time, and owning their work has been one of the most rewarding parts of my year. Our Utah school serves students from all kinds of backgrounds, but every one of my students shares something truly special: a genuine thirst for knowledge. As a teacher, my greatest joy is cultivating a love of learning, and you can feel it the moment you step through our door. Malala Yousafzai wrote, \"One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen, can change the world.\" I believe with all my heart that my students will change the world someday—my job is simply to give them every tool and experience I can to light their way.\r\n\r\nThis grant has touched our classroom in a deeply meaningful way. Giving students real, thoughtful feedback is one of the most important—and most time-consuming—parts of teaching. I wanted so badly to reach my students faster and more personally. Thanks to this grant, I now use dictation software to speak my feedback in the moment, print a personalized label for each child, and place it right on their work. What used to take hours now happens instantly, while the learning is still alive and fresh in their minds.\r\n\r\nThe difference in our room has been beautiful to watch. My students are receiving quicker, more personal feedback that speaks to exactly where they are and how far they've grown, and the time I save comes right back to them in planning and instruction. This small piece of technology has opened up an entirely new way for me to connect with my students—every piece of their work now feels seen, valued, and truly theirs.
