This year, more than ever, our students bring limited cleaning supplies. Therefore, we are limited in keeping our room clean from germs. Working in a school, we know it causes a lot of germs and viruses that we carry from one place to another. Your donation has helped keep our classroom areas clean. For example, my students can disinfect their desks at least once a week. In addition, we use wipes to disinfect common areas, including our guiding reading tables and student workstations. Another way it has supported our class is by allowing us to wipe down students' headphones after use. \r\n\r\n The box of Kleenex is about to get its use as the flu and cold seasons make their way into the classrooms. Having enough supplies for students is a blessing since items like these are pricey to keep spending each school year. They are discovering all that these devices have to offer- including the language component. It felt gret to be able to show them that they can 1) record their own messages and program these robots to retell stories and 2) recognize certain words in different languages. This was so exciting for them. We will be able to do activities with these for years to come- especially since the kits that you so generously helped purchase include many activities with little to no planning.
